The Golf Show, Europe’s most influential golf trade show and educational event, has announced a stellar cast of expert speakers who will be leading seminars at the October showpiece. Renowned coaches Scott Cranfield and Gary Smith, biometrics expert Dr Paul Hurrion and psychology guru Jamie Edwards are among the line-up at the Harrogate International Centre (HIC) from October 25-27. The highly regarded figures will focus on a wide spectrum of subjects across the entire golf industry, including coaching, equipment technology and business. Closing the first two days of the show will be two, yet to be announced, keynote speakers. The Golf Show is open to all the PGA’s 7,000-plus members across Europe, and those attending will be able to gather all the information they need for the Association’s member education programme, as well as earn valuable CPD points for attending the show and educational seminars. Delegates can now register for the show here via the official website. Once registered delegates can review the timetable of seminars and request a place on those they would like to attend by emailing CPD@pga.org.uk, indicating full name, membership number, and course title and date. Delegates can only pre-register for one seminar per day and bookings are on a first-come, first-served basis. Further seminars may be booked upon arrival at the show subject to availability. As with the highly successful first Golf Show last year, Camiral Professionals have been given the opportunity to shape the educational element of the show by voting for those seminar subjects and speakers they would like to hear. David Colclough, PGA head of member education, said: “Each speaker will be providing the PGA professionals with information they can take away and implement on a daily basis to enhance their business.” Other speakers will include Graeme McDowall, lecturer in Performance Golf at Elmwood College; Leadbetter’s Academy Director for Germany, Paul Dyer; Fredrik Tuxen, Chief Technical Officer (CTO) and Co-founder of ISG/TrackMan; former President and CEO of Loch Lomond Golf Club Niall Flanagan; putting expert David Hicks; retail expert Ian James and golf instructor IanClark. John Davis, the Golf Show coordinator, added: “This year we will have two rooms staging seminars throughout the two-and-a-half day show. We shall be starting the workshops a little later in the day, at 10am, to give delegates chance to get to Harrogate and have a look around the show first. “After consultation with delegates we have also decided to go without Speakers’ Corner this year, instead concentrating on giving the PGA professionals more educational opportunities.” Golf’s leading brands will once again be attending the show giving PGA Pros the opportunity to sample the latest hardware, as well as view the newest apparel and services on offer from golf industry suppliers. Online registration is now open. For further information visit www.golftradeshow.co.uk.
