Rafael’s illustrious career has taken him from Catalunya to China and back again, and that’s what makes his particular brand of service so exceptional.

Rafael’s career began at the Hotel Ritz in Madrid where he received solid training in providing world-class experiences for guests. After graduating from the prestigious Swiss Hotel Management School, Les Roches Marbella, he decided to join the Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company where he quickly progressed moving from the Hotel Arts in Barcelona to The Ritz Carlton, Abama in Tenerife.

When the brand expanded into SE Asia and China Rafael was the obvious choice for helping to drive unprecedented guest relations services and overseeing the selection of the front-of-house team. “Since returning to Spain I’ve been looking for an opportunity to help lead a luxury hotel brand to the next level,” he explains. “Because the PGA Catalunya Resort has a solid base of residents who return again and again throughout the year, as well as hotel guests, I saw an opportunity for this team to create something off-the-chart special.”
